As I was driving home I felt the need to post in my Live Journal about how life is unfair. Then I decided that was dumb and threw that out the window because I'm already over the fact that it isn't, even though I bring it up to myself all the time when I see its not. So instead, I shall post a picture! OF MYSELF!

Every once in awhile I gauge my standing with one particular professor, since he teaches a class that requires a reputation grind with him to pass, if you'll excuse the wow reference. I came to his office armed with a moderately involved question about today's lecture and a sense of dread that I would find I'd dropped from revered all the way back to neutral. Fortunately, his response was immediate and unambiguous:
:D
Apparently it was even a good question, which might have even bumped me into exalted. \o/

Etna and I got back to Houston at 5:30am this morning.
WE HAD RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS OF FUN
At about 7:30 we both crashed, but I could only sleep for a few hours because I have to finish writing a paper to email to my TA before 2. I imagine after the paper's done I'll log back into the game until I'm too exhausted to continue and attempt to make it back to Austin after another nap.
Oh, and I got to shake the hand of the guy who designed Kara and all the new 10 and 25 mans. He was a cool dude. I didn't even give a shit about the other guys who were there signing copies. Because really, how can you top the Kara design? It was really a fantastic night.

I had my legal exam today. All those hours and hours(I would say 250+) gone within two hours. And I honestly can't say how I went until i get the results. I'm expecting, since I can't think of anything I majorly screwed up a 40+but I'm still nervous.
I was so elated when I came out-I'd done the extended response before as a practice twice so it was great, I had time to read over and all the questions where generally quite easy(although there was ONE that I found a little difficult-I wasn't quite sure on) but overall I was quite happy.
STILL...IDK. I'll have to wait until december 15th. Fuck I'm scared now. I thought I went alright but now all I can do is rethink over it and just keep thinking about all the possible mistakes. Oh god. This is a tad daunting.
The questions were also a little different from the years before but that wasn't too much of a problem-I actually liked the new questions. I liked the ADRs question, all the parliament, the democratic/human right protection, strenght of parliament and the civil litigation and of course the ten marker with Constitution division + high court and referendum.
Hated the doctrine of precedent, the 'three mistakes' question and the police powers-IDK really. I could have really FUCKED it up but I won't know until I get my study score. I'm definately not expecting a 50 now. Damn.
OK, so 17TH BIRTHDAY SOON =] I can't wait!! And then more exams!! YAY!! ....not.
uggh. I am going to be the happiest person on the 25th after exams finish-and then become all emo over my study score(or really elated?) I just don't know what to expect. Uggh....screw you VCE so much!!

I already realize that energy shots can easily induce mania in me for a few hours, but recently over the past week and today, most noticeably, I've lapsed into it without touching any sort of stimulant. It's slightly disturbing, and I'm wondering if I might need to see a doctor about it if it persists. It has to be something that's changed with my diet, but I'm boggled as to what it could be. A doctor might not be the best choice then, since I'm not exactly thrilled to be on any sort of medication, and I might instead need to seek advice from a nutritionist. Doctors today seem overly inclined to solve things with drugs rather than attempt a more natural fix, and it's pushed me away from regular visits.
Other than that, I've been having a pleasant November aside from having to work on some daunting semester projects and cramming for end of November exams and finals. On Wednesday I'm taking my short day at work instead of Friday so I can pick up my brother from Houston so we can both attend the Austin Blizz Lunarfest. I'll also be driving him back that same night, and though the prospect of over 9 hours of driving in one day makes me groan a bit, I have a feeling it'll be worth it.
Also, a Saint Seiya Lost Canvas anime adaptation is in the planning stages. While there is no absolute confirmation from Mr. Kurumada, he has posted what appears to be the OP to a new anime project he is working on and the lyrics are unmistakeably reminiscent of Lost Canvas. Fan communication with Akita Shonen further implies this - since instead of the outright denials they used to hand out, we are simply give 'wait for an announcement'. Hurray! :D

Some people believe that marriage belongs in the church and the government should only be issuing domestic partnerships/ civil unions/ to all persons, REGARDLESS of sexual orientation. HOWEVER, if the government is going to call it marriage, then they have to issue it equally to all consenting adults. That leaves out the pedophiles and those who want to marry goats (but really would you want them procreating anyway?) And just in case you're wondering, in Alabama it's legal to marry your 14 year old cousin and it has to be recognized in all states in the union. But not a middle aged gay couple.
Where I have to disagree is that "God" ordained marriage. As you've probably figured out, i'm mostly agnostic. I don't know what there is out there, but whatever it is, it did not create the institution of marriage. Humans did. And marriage has been documented long before the bible was written. Ancient greece has records of marriages, however, a marriage is a BUSINESS TRANSACTION, between a man and a virgin woman who will have his children (note, not her children). He could marry as many virgin women to have his children as he could afford. The reason they went through this whole process was to make sure that the children were his, not some other guys. Thus the reason virginity and abstinence was so important in biblical/ ancient society. In today's society with DNA testing, really not as big of an issue as we can test for legitimacy.
I've read the whole bible (yeah, really I have). I've studied it as it's a great insight of our past and where we came from. But our present and our future can't be based on the rules that governed an antiquated society. I don't know how you feel about theocratic societies, but as far as I know, that's what we're trying to stop in the middle east. In Islam, a government ruled by the religion is called Sha'riah and it's the goal of their fundamentalists. One religion can't prevail in government, it only ends in death.

If this is just him using a metaphor for the truth and not just making a fun post, then Ryohei really is sick again, WHICH EXPLAINS WHY HE SEEMED SO WEAK AND TIRED YESTERDAY. My poor baby boy! Please eat banana cream pies!
::gets lost in her fantasy world where Keita let him fall asleep on his shoulder on the ride home last night::
Um.
In other news, I am also sick, so I am going to pretend I am sick with Ryohei's illness, if that's all right. I wanted to leave work early today but I cannot afford to keep missing days, especially Thursdays... even though, if I get tickets to the Best Hits Kayousai in a few weeks, I'll have to take another Thursday off. I don't even know who's performing, I'm just amazed that it's in Osaka! I never knew!
I was very productive today. But now I'm tired. Hopefully sleep cures this.
